The Commissioner of Police, Abia State Command, CP Danladi Isa, has decorated 60 newly promoted officers, including Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs), Inspectors, and other rank-and-file personnel, at the State Command Headquarters.

Following the decoration ceremony, CP Isa convened a strategic monthly conference with Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers (DPOs), Heads of Departments (HODs), tactical team commanders, and senior officers at the Officers’ Mess.

The conference featured a special session on “Life After Retirement”, delivered by Assistant Commissioner of Police, Administration, ACP Enahoro George, alongside the Command’s Pension Officer.

In his address, CP Isa applauded the officers for their dedication and acknowledged recent successes achieved by the Command, attributing them to the professionalism and resilience of the team, especially the tactical units.

He emphasized key takeaways from the recent Inspector-General of Police (IGP) conference, urging officers to uphold professionalism, integrity, and intelligence-led policing while responding swiftly to security challenges.

Highlighting improved welfare for retired officers and the importance of performance evaluations, the CP stressed the need for confidentiality in handling official documents.

He also charged officers to prioritize their physical and mental well-being, step up intelligence-gathering efforts, and shun unethical practices such as unwarranted checks on motorists aimed at extortion.

CP Isa issued a stern warning against corruption, over-detention, and misconduct, urging HODs to ensure proper supervision, maintain discipline, and secure lives and property within their jurisdictions.
