NOA Director Victor Orji Honoured as “Role Model” by MCA: Pledges Continued Service to National Rebirth.

From TCNEWS

In a heartwarming ceremony that combined faith, leadership, and civic values, Comrade Victor Onyeanwuna Orji, State Director of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Abia State, was conferred with the “Role Model” Award by the Men’s Christian Association (MCA) of St. Peter’s Presbyterian Church, Umuahia, during their 2025 Father’s Day celebration.

The well-attended event, themed “Men: Vessels for Honour” (2 Timothy 2:21), spotlighted exemplary figures whose lives mirror integrity, humility, and a commitment to societal transformation. The MCA’s recognition of Orji underscores his unwavering dedication to national reorientation, civic responsibility, and moral values, core mandates of the NOA.

The event is also significant as it highlights the intersection of faith, leadership, and civic responsibility. At a time when Nigeria faces critical challenges in national identity, governance, and moral values, such recognitions reinforce the importance of ethical leadership.

Delivering the award citation, Rev. Dr. Joel Efiong, MCA Desk Coordinator, described Orji as “a beacon of ethical leadership and a true vessel of honour,” praising his service record and moral fortitude in both his official duties and community engagements.

“As a vessel for honour, Comrade Orji exemplifies the very essence of the theme. His life and career reflect what it means to be set apart for good works, prepared and useful to both the Church and the nation,” Rev. Efiong stated.

Also present were key figures from the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, and other top clergy, whose messages stressed the role of Christian men in nation-building and righteous leadership.

On behalf of the National Orientation Agency, Mr. Kingsley Igwe, Deputy Director (HRM) at the State Headquarters, delivered a glowing congratulatory message:

“Your tireless efforts in promoting national reorientation, moral values, and civic responsibility continue to inspire many. We at NOA Abia State Directorate are proud to be associated with your noble achievements.”

Mrs. Nne Uche Usim, in a goodwill message to her boss, also lauded Orji’s selflessness and faith-driven leadership:

“Your exemplary Christian values, kindness, industriousness, and hospitality have no bounds. You have distinguished yourself across your professional, ecclesiastical, and communal roles.”

Accepting the award, an emotional Victor Orji expressed deep gratitude to the MCA, the Presbyterian Church leadership, and his colleagues at the NOA. He affirmed that the recognition was both humbling and inspiring.

“This honour is a call to even greater service. I dedicate it to the hardworking staff of NOA Abia and to every Nigerian committed to reorienting our national values. I pledge to sustain and strengthen the vision of the National Orientation Agency in Abia State and across Nigeria. Together, we will continue to uphold integrity, patriotism, and moral leadership.”

The event also served as a platform to rally support for the MCA’s ongoing initiatives, including the completion of its Hostel Project at the City of Light and the 2025 Biennial International Conference scheduled for October 15–18. Rev. Efiong passionately appealed to members and supporters to contribute sacrificially toward these goals.

The State Commander, War Against Indiscipline and Corruption Brigade and Citizen Values Brigade of NOA Abia State Command, Victor Okwum, was present.
