NSE Umuahia Chairman Dedicates Daughter in Joyous Ceremony.

From TCNEWS

In a celebration that blended spiritual significance with communal goodwill, the Chairman of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Umuahia Branch, Engr. Romanus Enyinnaya, and his wife, Irene Enyinnaya, dedicated their daughter, Joanna Olanna Tobechukwu Enyinnaya, to God on Sunday, June 15, 2025. The thanksgiving mass was held at Christ the King Catholic Church, located at World Bank Estate, Umuahia, Abia State.

The dedication ceremony, which commenced at 10:00 a.m., was officiated by Rev Fr Dr Benedict Okike, who delivered a soul-stirring homily urging parents to raise their children in the fear and knowledge of God. “Children are a heritage from the Lord,” he reminded the congregation. “Parents must be intentional in guiding their children through love, discipline, and the teachings of faith.”

This event stands as a testament to the values of faith, family, and community leadership, underscoring how public figures like Engr. Enyinnaya continue to lead by example not only in their professions but in their private lives as well.

The church service was followed by a reception at the family residence on No. 12 Mercy Chukwunonye Street, Agbama Housing Estate, where guests were treated to music, food, and heartfelt moments of reflection. In attendance were members of the Unity Progress Welfare Association, engineers from both the Umuahia NSE branch and other chapters, friends, family, and well-wishers.

Speaking with our correspondent after the reception, Engr. Romanus Enyinnaya expressed deep gratitude for the turnout and support shown to his family. “We are overwhelmed by the love and kindness shown by everyone here today. Dedicating our daughter to God is a sacred commitment, and we are grateful to share this joy with those who mean so much to us,” he said.

Engr. Enyinnaya also emphasized the importance of family and community, adding that “as engineers, beyond building physical infrastructure, we also believe in building strong moral and spiritual foundations in our homes.” He thanked the NSE members for their solidarity and prayed for God’s blessings on all who graced the occasion.
