Comrade Josephine Ogwo advocates for Gender Equality and Support for Fathers.

Comrade Josephine Ogwo, Chairperson of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Abia State chapter, has called for gender equality and support for fathers.

In an interview, she discussed the importance of recognizing the contributions of fathers and promoting shared responsibilities in the home.

 “Gender equality is not just about empowering women; it is also about supporting men in their roles as fathers,” Comrade Ogwo emphasized. 

Ogwo who touched/torched the 2025 Father’s Day theme, “Fathers: Nurturing Resilience and Shaping Futures,”  also addressed the challenges faced by fathers in the current socio-cultural context, advocating for societal recognition and support.
